I'm really one step away from packing it all up and buying a Macbook instead.Java Game Programming Introduction - The World Of Bouncing Balls BUT - then I lose that awesome Resolution I get on all the other programsĪny advice would be welcome at this point. I am wondering if I lowered the resolution and set it a 100% the Java windows might then appear normal. On cell screens, the icons become clearer, and on computer monitors, the higher-resolution give you a larger workspace. 1440p is also useful on screens where the screen is too small to notice image quality, as it gives small images a higher degree of definition. When I look at the Display settings the Resolution is set at the highest - 3200 x1800, and then at 250% to have the screen appear "normal" sized. It is not the only important difference to make videos look good.

The laptop is a week old - I don't want to have to return it - but will if I can't get some sort of support or assistance.

I refused this assistance since I had already paid a Java expert for help. I contacted Dell support and they wanted to transfer me to a 3rd Party Paid Support service in order to fix this problem. What happens is the Java applications squeeze into a teeny tiny size - if looking at the Dell XPS 13 Screen, the Java windows would take up 2" by 2" in size on the screen - and the font would appear smaller than this. I had a Java troubleshoot the laptop and he could not find anything, indicating it was a resolution issues. In fact, when I go to the Java website and run a test, it also occurs. I have this same issue with the Resolution on Java Applications.
